Ebonite handle is in great condition and spins freely. Nickel silver rim tension regulator screw works perfectly. MKII check with two engageable pawls and ribbed foot dates this reel from the 1930's. No cracks, chips, or dings. An excellent overall example of a rare original Bougle. You will not be disappointed!

Flimsy

These shelves feel and look very flimsy. They’re hollow, and while the description says they’re made of wood, they feel thinner and less strong than particle board. The brackets are sturdy, and the instructions are clear. They’re easy to install. But, at least for the 12” deep shelves, the bracket poles are shorter than the depth of the shelves, so the shelves sag at the front. Pretty disappointing.
